Manuscript Chat | The Messengers

https://youtu.be/E6goDxnTRiU

Hi everyone.

Trynda here, bringing you another manuscript chat.

Today, I’m gonna be talking about the messengers which are basically a race that live in the celestial plane with the Elohim.

They are created through making a covenant of some sort whether it be for protection or companionship or really anything the Elohim and that soul make a pact for. Depending on what purpose they were made for, the messengers will look different but often times, they’ll have a base image that is inspired from different areas throughout history. Some taken from biblical references others from the Italian renaissance. Some of the base line features that the race of messengers have are huge wings that they can fly with, pale white skin, silver eyes, silver hair and a very tall, lanky but slightly muscular form.

Some of them are more muscular than some of them are not but it really depends on what they were created for because that’s going to assist them with the task they were assigned to do.

I don’t know if assigned to do is the right word because it’s kind of a ‘you help me and I help you’ agreement between the Elohim and the messengers. So, it’s not so much of a self serving thing although there are exceptions, it’s more of a agreement and respect for one another.

Among the messengers, there is also the high messengers which are basically the equivalent of an arch angel and that is the right hand or second in command of the Elohim that created them.

Once again, there are exceptions to this rule but more often than are not, the high messengers serve as body guards, companions and kind of a jack-of-all-trades that assist the Elohim whenever and wherever they can.

Some of the High Messengers that are in On Fallen Wings are Lucifer, Paimon, Michael and Gabriael. I think those are the few that I’ve mentioned, there are more that I can’t think of off the top my head but those are the ones that I’ve talked about so far.

Since the high messengers act as body guards, that are incredibly hard to kill and are often very skilled in the art of combat and various other trades that are appealing to the Elohim that created them.

So, I think that’s it for now guys. I’m going to put the sheet from my world bible up on my Patreon for Patreons to see, if you haven’t checked out my Patreon, make sure to check out the link below. (Revival Episode 4) launches on November 4 so, if you haven’t gotten your preorder and you’re looking my to get one, then make sure you head to the link below as well.

If you like this video make sure to leave a like and subscribe to my channel. If there’s something in particular you’d like me to talk about then leave a comment down below and I try to cover that in the next video.

I think that’s it for now and I will talk to you guys next week.

Monthly Update | 03/10/2017

https://youtu.be/KIHVX6e4Ifo

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

Bringing you an update today from the Canadian human rights museum.

I found this nice little spot over on the side so I figured I’ll do a video here. There was a train and I think there are still trains so if it’s a little noisy I apologize about that, it wasn’t my intention to have a train in here.

So, up on the YouTube channel this month, we have a Manuscript Chat about the Elohim which are the gods in my universe and I also put up an Authortube Worldbuilding tag where I answered questions about world building. I also managed to get up a Book Bag video where I talk about what I thought of Neverwhere and what I’m going to be reading next.

On Patreon this month, I wasn’t able to get a short story up but I was able to get a few world building post up for Patrons and I’ve also put up a behind the scenes look at the cover for what I’m working on in November for NaNoWriMo so, you can go over there and have a look if you’re a one dollar Patron or more.

During September, I made sure to get the author Trynda E. Adair website all tuned up because it was looking a little stagnant so now it is looking freshly redone and it’s on a WordPress framework for anyone who’s interested. My reason for picking WordPress was a little bit more technical only because I work in php and WordPress already so I wanted to be able to have a website for something that I could already actively develop and maintain and fix if I needed to. That was a little bit more tactical for anyone who’s interested.

In October, you can expect to see some videos about prepping for NaNoWriMo. In November. I’m not gonna be working on a novel this year, I’ll be working on a series of short stories that I’m doing instead just because I wanna work on some stuff for my Patrons and get some exclusive stuff that they can look forward to.

I’m also going to be redoing the rewards for Patrons and goals because right now they don’t just make a lot of sense to me and I want to have stuffs that’s a bit more enticing and I want to make them a bit more rewarding for those who are actually being Patreons to me. So, I will give you guys updates on that as they come up and I will let you know.

If you’re looking for real time up to date updates, then I suggest heading over to any of my social media sites. You can check out my Facebook or my twitter. You can also check out my mailing list and get free short stories as well as updates every month on what I’m working on and I think that’s it for now guys so, if you have any suggestion on videos you wanna see during prep-tober, feel free to leave them down in the comment below. If you haven’t checked out my Patreon yet, have a look at that, the rewards and the goals are going to be changing soon so keep that in mind but if you have something you want to see, then feel free to leave a comment over on my Patreon or in the comments down below. So, I’ll make sure to leave all of the links below in the description for you guys. If you like this video or any of my other videos, make sure to subscribe and leave a like on the video and I will put up more like them.

So I think that’s it for now guys, I’ll see you guys later.

Authortube Worldbuilding Tag

https://youtu.be/U2Xjv_JZuRA

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

Sorry this video is a little late this week, I was getting ready for a job interview on Friday and now that it’s Saturday, I’ve had the chance to record and you should be seeing this video as soon as it’s done.

This week, I’m doing an Authortube World building Tag that was started by Michael Thomas and I will link his channel down below with everyone else’s that I’ve tagged as well.

So, let’s get into the questions and I will let you know who I’ve tagged at the end of the video.

1. Name an author who is good at world building?

I really think that Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, did a really good job of world building in his series. What with mixing in Greek mythology with the real world and making it flow very well together and I thought that he did a really good job on that series.

2. Name a detail or a thing in a book which functioned only to help the world building.

I think character development helps enormously in world building because it lets you see how characters and their settings and environments are interacting together and I think that is a more organic way of building in world building than just saying, “Here’s an info dump of everything you need to know of this world.”

3. Do you prefer well-described characters and an underdeveloped setting or vice versa?

I personally like an happening medium because I think it’s important to have well flushed out settings in environments as well as flushed out characters as well. I think the two go hand in hand and I think it’s just poor writing to leave out one and not the other because then you’re just making it lopsided and how people interact with what’s normal around them speaks volumes more.

4. How much world building is too much world building?

I think it’s too much world building when you’re spending pages describing just one thing or like a handful of things. You shouldn’t spend all your time focusing on certain aspects but you should weave it organically through the entire story and show how different characters and different settings are interacting with each other.

5. What book/series could benefit from more world building?

So, you’ll have to excuse my memory a little bit, I read this book a long time ago and I really only read the first book in the series but The Dark Angel book by Meredith and Pierce, really felt like it could have benefited from some more world building. In the story, it was a vampire that was evil and twisted against humanity, kidnaps this girl and tries to make her his wife and she kind of redeems him and melts lead off of his heart, it was a really interesting story but they were just kind of in the middle of nowhere in these mountains and you were kind of left wondering, well, where is this even taking place like how did this chic just go missing and no one even thought to look for her like it just felt like there should have been more there right? But maybe I’m just misremembering it but I really wanted to get back in that series and see if they had expanded on what was going on later on in the series.

6. Do you prefer the intricacies of a world to be presented early on or revealed throughout the book?

I’d rather see and author weave the details of their world through the entire book and the entire series because I feel like it is much more organic fit and you’re not forcing it on your readers so much like you have to know this information. It’s more like letting them discover this scene where their imagination takes it instead of forcing them to look in a certain direction.

7. Describe/draw your perfect world.

Well, my world is very much my world, the Elohim Universe, I love working in it and it’s a happy mesh between our world that we know and a spin on what gods and a celestial multidimensional beings are like. I’m okay with being a little bias because I love my world and I love writing in it and that’s why I keep writing in it.

So, that’s it for now guys. I am hopefully going to pronounce everyone’s names right but I’m going to be taking three people for this tag.

I will be tagging J.D. Archer, Alina Popescu and Camille Nicole. If you like this video and you want to see more like it, then make sure to leave a like and subscribe to my channel for more.

If want to let me know what you thought of the questions or what you want to answer to them, then leave them in the comments down below. If you want to read more short stories, you can sign up for my mailing list to get a free short story or you can check out my Patreon. I’m always posting world building and behind the scenes content along with short stories for my Patreons.

I think that’s everything guys so, I will talk to you guys later.

Questions:
1. Name an author who is good at world building?
2. Name a detail or thing in a book which functioned only to help build the world.
3. Do you prefer well-described characters and an under-developed setting or vice-versa?
4. How much world building is too much world building?
5. What book/series could benefit from more world building?
6. Do you prefer the intricacies of a world to be presented early on, or revealed throughout the book?
7. Describe/draw your perfect world?

Manuscript Chat | The Elohim

https://youtu.be/-i6w2zz-tY0

Hi everyone.

Trynda here, bringing you another manuscript chat video. Today, I’m gonna be talking about the Elohim and the universe that they reside in.

First off, if you haven’t watched my other video, I will leave a link down below for you guys and I would recommend going to check that out first before checking this video because it will just give you and intro into the series and give you a jumping off point.

So lets get into it.

The Elohim are a race that I created within my universe that are basically the architects to life as we know it. The Elohim live in what they call a celestial plane and that is a little pocket inside the flow of time that they created themselves.

They also created what is known as the divisional plane and the mortal plane. Now the Divisional Plain is kind of like a Purgatory or just a no-mans-land for souls and celestial beings to transverse with each other.

And then we have the Mortal Plain which sounds pretty self explanatory and that’s kind of where we live.

The reason that these dimensions are set up the way they are is to reflect how a lot of mythologies look at how people interacted with the gods. It wasn’t very often that you saw humans interacting with gods on a face-to-face level. You often saw people interacting with the gods through a medium of some sort whether that be drugs or angels or messengers or even the gods themselves manifesting in a different form but you never saw people interacting with the god itself because they will basically burst into flames or an equivalent for that theology. So, I wanted to incorporate that in my world so it wouldn’t seem like humans and gods were having a direct conversation all the time because that’s not what it looked like in history.

What originally started this idea of the Elohim was this one passage from the book of Revelation in the King James Bible and it gave me the idea of what the Elohim would look like and that was with their bleach white skin, hair and eyes and their super tall features almost make them look very alien and non human like.

After I had the basic idea of how I wanted the Elohim to look, I knew that I had to make them a little bit down to earth so they wouldn’t be invincible and they could still be concrete in a certain way.

To make sure that the Elohim were not overpowered and instead a race you could associate that still had downfalls, I made sure to give them the inability to heal and fragile bodies along with a set of rules called The Bindings and this was in theory meant to make sure they could stay in check without essentially messing up the entire universe. These flaws of being unable to heal and having fragile bodies, forced the Elohim to be realistic about how they use their powers and needing help along the way and in turn they created what’s called the messengers.

The messengers are basically like bodyguards, assistants and companions. Basically, anything that the Elohim can’t do, they create a messenger for. It sounds a little bit odd putting it like that but often, it’s a mutual agreement between two corporal beings. If that makes sense.

So I think that’s it for now guys, if you like what you saw make sure to leave a like and subscribe to my channel for more videos like it. If you want to hear me talk about something specific, then leave a comment down below and I will talk about that next time. If you haven’t read the Revival series yet then I suggest checking out Revival Prologue, it’s available free at the link down below. You can also get Revival (Episode 3) now if you’re all caught up and Revival (Episode 4) is also available for preorder so you can check all those links in the description down below as well. I’m going to be putting my excerpt about the Elohim from my world bible up on my Patreon so, if you wanna know some specific details bout the Elohim, then I suggest heading over to my Patreon and seeing if that’s something that you can be interested in signing up for.

You can also sign up for my mailing list and get a free short story if you’re looking for something to read and that is also down in the description below and I think that’s it for now so, I’ll talk to you guys later.

https://youtu.be/x-gObNDq6ew

Hey everyone.

Trynda here, Today, I’m bringing you an update video from the Manitoba Legislative Building.

So, I found a nice little park off to the side here, I’ve never seen it before so, I figured I do a video here.

First up, I’m going to tell you about some videos that have gone up on my channel.

I didn’t actually get a video up last week, I was swollen and sore with a tooth infection so, I didn’t actually get a chance to shoot my video.

Before that, I had the Method to My Madness where I was talking about hashtags on social media.

At the beginning of the month, we had the Manuscript Chat video which was the first video in the series talking about my manuscripts that I’m working on and I will put a link down below with all these videos so you can go check them out.

You can expect to see a new book video coming up soon along with another Manuscript Chat video and those will be coming up in the next few weeks so, keep an eye out for that.

I’ve also been working on a short story for the Fall Writing Contest held by the right practice.

I’ve really been enjoying writing for the theme of Let’s Fall in Love so, you can expect to see that soon.

I’ll be posting a link to the Reader’s Choice Award.

There’s not too much going on with my Patreon recently unfortunately.

I’ve been a bit busy so, it’s fallen on the wayside.

There has been a single short story added but you can go over there and check that out to see if it’s something you’re interested in.

You can also get Revival (Episode 3) now and you can preorder Revival (Episode 4) And that will be coming out November 1st.

If you haven’t checked out my social media, make sure to check that out.

There’s always articles and other stuff that I find interesting going up on my feed.

You can stay up to date with me there or you can check out my mailing list and you can get a free short story as well.

So, I think that’s it for now guys and I will talk to you later.

Method To My Madness | #Hashtags

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JTcPZ9wHm8

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

Today, I’m bringing you a video about hashtags on social media. I’ve been doing a lot of research into how you use hashtags in your social media posts so, I thought I would share the tips that I’ve learned along the way with you guys. If you don’t know what a hashtag is, it’s basically a searchable keyword that allows two posts that are similar in content to be linked together. I’ve noticed that some authors don’t use hashtags as well as they could be so, I thought these tips would be useful to the community in general. If you’re interested in the hashtags specific to authors, then I suggest you hang on until the very end and we will get to those.

So, first off, I’m going to talk about formatting. When you’re putting hashtags in your posts, you don’t want to make them too long or too hard to read. They suggest keeping it no more than two to four words at max and if you have multiple words in the hashtag, you should be using CamelCase which is where you capitalize the first letter of each word in that sentence. When it comes to the frequency of hashtags you’re using in your post, it varies greatly between site to site. So, what I’m going to be covering today is Facebook, Twitter and instagram.

So, Twitter is basically where it all started originally and they recommend not putting more than two to four hashtags in a post otherwise, it comes off looking spammy and that really factors in heavily when you’re putting it on every single word. You want to try and avoid doing that because it comes off like you’re just a robot and that’s something you really want to avoid when you’re on social media.

The next one is instagram.
There’s a lot of variation on the amount of hashtags to put in particular post. Some people say between 11 and 30 which seems really high to me and some people said between two and three which also seems very low for instagram. So, I tend to put around five to ten hashtags on mine and I find that that works for getting a bit of engagement for me. A lot of this stuff depends on your audience and your analytics.

I’ll cover Facebook a little bit more in-depth because that one has a little bit more to it because it was a little bit late to the hashtag game and people didn’t seem to catch on to it the same way. This is mostly because on Facebook, it’s more influencers, brands and promoters trying to get their content across and this is just because most people who use Facebook have private personal accounts opposed to public promotional pages. So, with Facebook, they recommend not putting any more than two hashtags in a post.

Some people recommend putting them at the end of the post and some people recommend putting them in the post itself. I personally find that there’s not much difference for me so, I tend to put them in the post itself because it goes along my to me and it makes it easier to read I find. But that’s me and that’s my audience so, it definitely depends on what your audience is reflecting by how your insights area on the Facebook page is showing and if you haven’t looked at that, then you definitely should because that would give you all the analytics for the Facebook page and how your posts are performing. Twitter has something similar with the analytics area on their site and I would recommend looking into that as well. Instagram unfortunately doesn’t have a built in analytics area but a quick google search and you can find any type of analytics tool that suites your needs for Instagram.

I’m going to get into some specific author related hashtags now. If you’re ever wondering what type of hashtags people are using, you can look at other people’s posts and also search on their actual social media platform itself. That can be a huge help for finding what hashtags people are talking about at that time. You can also use a site called Hashtagify.me and that’ll tell you which ones are doing better than others and which ones have a bit more conversation going on about them. So, some of the really popular ones are:

Writing Specific

  • #amWriting
  • #amEditing
  • #WIP
  • #writersLife
  • #writersTip

Genre Specific

  • #Fantasy /  #ScienceFiction
  • #amWritingFantasy
  • #amWritingScienceFiction
  • #YALit
  • #Mystery

I could go on forever because it’s basically whatever genre you’re writing in and that’s a really popular one that helps you connect with people or your same genre.

There’s also a few more like I do such as #MotivationMonday & #ShakespeareSunday.

Those aren’t necessarily specific to the author community but those ones can help you get your exposure out there to communities that you may not necessarily connect with otherwise.

So, I think that’s it for now guys, if you enjoyed this video, make sure to leave a like and subscribe to my channel. I would love to hear what you guys are using for hashtags in your posts so, leave a comment down below so we can chat about it a little more or you can connect with me on social media, I’m @TryndaEAdair on all social media platforms. Revival Episode 3 is now available and you can also preorder Revival Episode 4. If you haven’t experienced anything in the Revival series, then I’ll recommend checking out the Revival Prologue which is a free short story that I wrote back in 2012.

So, that’s it for now guys and I will talk to you guys later.

Manuscript Chat | Intro – On Fallen Wings

https://youtu.be/oG6YyvSVygc

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am the author of the post-apocalyptic Revival short story series and today, I’m bring you a new video called Manuscript chat.

In this video series, I’m going to talk about the manuscripts that I’m working on, what struggles and ideas I come with along the way and just kind of an overall feel of how I go about making the stories that I craft and the universe that they’re in.

So, I start off first with talking about the manuscript briefly that I’m working on now and I’ll move into how the universe I’m working on sort of develop.

Right now, I’m working on a manuscript that has the running title On Fallen Wings, which will change eventually and I will put a link to the working progress tag I did about it because I answered a few questions like give you a good intro into On Fallen Wings. To summarize On Fallen Wings quickly, it is an urban fantasy that is about a guard who went into hiding in the mortal world to save herself from the one who wanted to kill her.

On Fallen Wings originally came from my curiosity of wanting to know why Polytheistic religions of the ancient world fell away to the Menolistic religions that we have today.

It really started with this one question that I had in the back of my mind when I was learning about the ancient world and that was, what if Lucifer had been framed? You see it all through history of the winners not necessarily being the good guys writing what every body knows and it made me curious of what I could do with that little twist on what we know today from Christian theology.

Once I had that question, I knew that I had to make a universe that I could write Indefinitely in so I could write in any genre that I really wanted to because there were so many stories I really wanted to write about and all these different ideas that I have buzzing in my head that I would love to type back and forth. Two of my greatest inspirations are destiny and the dark soul series because there’s such a strong community around these two games and the law around them that’s scattered throughout all of the different aspects of the game that you can dig up and piece together if you have the time and energy to do it. I wanted to be able to create stand alone stories and then be able to hide little ties to my other stories in the same universe together and with that, I created the Elohim universe or Elohim, however you say it. I am not the person to ask about that.

So, I think that’s where I’m gonna wrap it up for now guys, I’m not too sure what’s gonna come with this video for now guys, it’s a little rumbly, if you enjoyed watching it, leave a like and subscribe to my channel. If you have any questions for my next video or suggestions for what you’ll like me to talk about, leave them in the comments down below or you can reach me on social media.

You can now get Revival episode four for preorder and Revival episode three is also available and if you’d like some more short stories and other world building aspects and it’s little bit more in depth, you can head over to my Patreon.

I will link everything down below for you guys and I’ll talk to you guys later.

Trynda here, I decided to take my writer update outside because it was too gorgeous not to so, I am in Bonny castle park today doing my update for you.

So first off, I have some videos I’d like to tell you about. I have the Authortube Editing Tag that went up last week on my channel and you can go and check that out in the link down below and I also did the TBR book bag video for my top 5 to be read book.

I also have to tell you about Revival Episode 3 and 4. Episode three is now up and available for anyone who would like to grab a copy of it, you can also get Revival prologue, I put that in insta freebie as well, if you’re on there you can check that out. Revival (Episode 4) is now available for free order at most of the major distributors, there might still be a few that are slow coming but they will be added to the links down below as soon as I get them up and going.

There’s a new short story going up for my Patrons on Patreon which is called The Diary and you can get a copy of that, I have ebook mobi and PF up on insta freebee. I think that’s my new favorite site all of a sudden, if you haven’t checked out my Patreon I suggest you go have a look at that, it’s only a dollar a month for the short stories and there’s also world building and behind the scenes content that is exclusive to Patrons that no one else gets to see.

If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for my email list, you can do so at the link down below and get a free short story that is exclusive to my Patreons and anyone who signs up for my mailing list.

So, last few weeks, I haven’t had a whole lot of time to record videos, well with one of my best friends getting married and helping my mother out at her ice cream shop but I will be returning my videos to their normal schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday upload so, keep an eye out for those and I think that’s it for now guys, if you like this video make sure to leave a like and subscribe for more videos like this. Authortube Editing Tag

https://youtu.be/9GWk4aGYzIA

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

Today, I’m bringing you the Authortube Editing Tag and I got this tag from Julian Greystoke.

1. What is your favorite thing about editing a manuscript?

I think my favorite thing about editing a manuscript is seeing how far I’ve improved my writing skills. From draft to draft, I like being able to see my improvements and how I’ve changed my manuscript.

2. What is your least favorite thing about editing a manuscript?

I think my least favorite thing about editing a manuscript is just seeing the horrible sludge that comes out of my brain sometimes.

3. Would you prefer to edit a short story or a novel? Why?

I prefer editing short stories just because they are shorter in general and I find it easier to cut things away than to add things like plot lines and structure that would complete a whole novel in general and I have a little bit more experience with writing short stories.

4. How long does your editing process take on average?

If it’s a short story, I’d say my editing process takes about two days through all the different drafts and then I’d say that that’s about average for how long I spend per scene on my manuscripts as well.

5. What is the first thing you do when editing?

The first thing I do when editing is to read through it to make sure I’m not missing any scenes, I’m not missing any major details and just fixing some of the global problems that I see with my manuscript.

6. What is the last thing you do when editing?

The last thing I do when editing is to go through the grammar and the diction and all the little tiny modifications that I make along with gender pronouns and other very specific things to the story for window dressing, as some would put it.

7. Why does editing matter to you?

Editing matters to me because it shows that you’ve put effort into your work and that you have a sense of pride. You want it to be the best it can be and it’s not just something that you pump out of your brain and toss it to the side for others to read.

8. Do you prefer editing to writing or vice versa?

I definitely prefer writing because that’s where my love is. Editing is refining the statue that I made prior.

9. Talk briefly about your editing process and why you choose to use the process you do.

When I first start my editing process, I tend to type up what I’ve written by hand and go through and make sure the software translated it properly and while I’m doing this, I tend to do a first craft edit and add any additional scenes that I think are missing or rewrite anything that needs to be written at the time. After that, I like to go through and read it again just to see if I’m missing anything else or if anything that I changed when I rewrote something didn’t make sense. That’s when I go to my favorite piece of software for editing which is called ProWritingAid and I input my text there to see where some problem areas are that I can improve such as adjectives, diction and sentence length. This step really helps me to see what I’m doing wrong and what areas need improvement and where someone might have a little bit hard time reading things and then, I can make those improvements along with grammar checks and a few other things as well. At that point, I introduce beta readers to get some feedback from actual people and see where the problem areas are that need improvement for readability. After that’s all done and I’ve gone through with the ProWritingAid and fixed the grammar and small details, that’s when it goes off to the editor and it’s given a final proofread and often, a few other changes, before it’s sent off for publication.

So, that’s all the questions for now guys. I will be tagging Erika’s Words and Jenna The Dark One And I will put their channel links down below in the description. Revival Episode 3 is now available for anyone who has an ebook and I will be getting Revival Episode 4 up and available for preorder as soon as I have time. Videos will still be a little sparse but I’m working on getting back into my regular schedule once things start to settle down. If you haven’t checked out my Patreon yet, make sure to head over there, there’s always free ebooks and a few other world building things and behind the scenes aspects of my writing that I put up for my Patreons and I have my mailing list set up now so you can get a free ebook by signing up.

will put the link down below with all the others and I will talk to you guys later.

Trynda’s Bookbag | Top 5 TBR

[podcastplayer feed_url =’https://anchor.fm/s/241caac4/podcast/rss’ number=’1′ podcast_menu=” cover_image_url=” hide_cover=’true’ hide_description=’true’ filterby=’Top 5 TBR’ hide_search=’true’ hide_loadmore=’true’ ]

Hi everyone, Trynda here.

Today, I’m bringing you a TBR video and what to expect in the coming month for what I’m gonna be reading. It’s possible that things will squeeze in between these things but this is kind of the part I’m gonna be taking from the books that I want to read and that I really kind of think that will impact the things I’m going to be writing in the next future. For sure, you can expect this but if there’s any changes, you can find them in my Book Bag series and I will link that down below in the description. So, let’s get to it.

Right now, I’m reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman which you can find out a little bit about my reason behind it in the Book Bag series.

The next book I’m thinking of reading is the Lovecraft compendium by H.P. Lovecraft. Just because I want to get a fuel for a darker literature and things that might impact the way I write darker scenes and I think this will be a good one to kind of keep on my radar especially since it’s not too many pages and I can probably chew through it pretty quickly.

The next one after that is Victoria by Daisy Goodwin. The reason I wanna read this one is because I think Queen Victoria’s personality will be a good influence for Larathel who is my main character of On Fallen wings and you can find a little bit more about her in the work in progress tag that I did a videos back. Larathel is a very strong leader and so is Queen Victoria and I think there was a lot of similarities so, I think this will be a good book to read to kind of get my head in the mindset of Queen Victoria or a regal personality for my main character.

The next book I’d like to read after that would be the Wedding Shroud by Elizabeth Storrs. I’d like to read this one just so I can finish off a novella set in Ancient Rome and I think it will be a good book to kind of get my inspiration going for that as I do a few more edits on it and possibly add a few more scenes to make things make sense. Who knows? It may actually end up being a full like novel with the way that it’s going.

And after that, I’d like to read Way of Spears by Natalia Leigh. It’s been on my list to read for a while and I think it would be a good way to just kind of dip my toe into the high fantasy genre and get into it a little bit more.

And after that, I’d like to read Twilight of Avalon by Anna Elliot, the reason for this one is I wrote a novel about Tristan and Azold back in April for Camp NaNoWriMo and by the time I’m getting to that book, I’m likely going to get time to edit that novel and I’d like to get back into the head space of Tristan and Azold and their love story and a few other details surrounding that era and the mentality of thinking so, I really want to read that one and kind of get my head space back into that as I’m doing my edits for my Time to Let Go manuscript.

So that’s it for now guys, I will put all of the links in the description down below. If you liked what you saw, make sure to leave a like and subscribe to my channel and if you have any ideas or you’ve read these books or you have recommendations for me, then feel free to leave them in the comments down below. Revival Episode 2 is now available for purchase and you can also preorder Revival Episode 3.

Make sure to follow on my social medias and check out my Patreon if you want to know a little bit more about the behind the scenes stuff and some stuff that I’m working on outside of my YouTube videos.

I will talk to you guys later.
